The worst Korean fried chicken experience I 've ever had. With so many other chicken places nearby, there 's no reason you should come here. Service was horrendous. They were busy, so the chicken took about 30 minutes after ordering. That 's understandable, but there were so many lapses in service that it ruined the whole experience. As soon as I sit down, the waiter asks if I 'm ready to order. I hadn 't even looked at the menu, so I told him no. Once I looked at the menu and was ready to order 3 minutes later, none of the waiters came around or made eye contact with me for 10 minutes. I had to go up to the front to ask them to take my order. The food was taking a really long time, but none of the servers came around to explain or reassure that the order would be coming soon. I had to go up and ask them after waiting 25 minutes, and then they finally informed me the order was coming soon. It arrived a few minutes later. We needed more napkins, but again they failed to come around to check on us. I had to get up and go to another empty table to grab napkins for myself. I then noticed a dead bug in the picked radish. See the photo. It again took me several minutes to get their attention, and they ended up replacing the radish with a simple sorry about that. They acted like it was no big deal. Once I was ready for the check, again the server was just looking around without making eye contact. I had to go up to the front again to ask for the check. Even when paying and trying to leave, they failed to provide good service. The chicken itself was just ok. You could tell they were busy, and they made the chicken quickly. There was excess batter, and it was definitely not as good as it used to be. I recommend going to Kyochon down the street or KoKo chicken which is nearby. Not planning on ever coming here again.
It takes a lot to make us never want to go back to a restaurant. This is really sad, because this was one of our favorite places. We would go at least twice a month. We went this past Sunday and had the worst experience. We ordered two vegetable fried rice plates, 1 order of boneless golden original, and 3 bottles of soju. We were brought out bone in chicken. I let the server know that was not what we ordered. She questioned us, but I specifically said boneless and even pointed to the picture of the boneless on the menu. From then on, the older woman manager kept glaring at us like it was our fault. She made us so uncomfortable. We were seated in the patio, and she was glaring at us from the side door at the kitchen. It was that in between lunch and dinner time. It was not overly busy. However, it took about 40 minutes to get our correct order of boneless golden original. Our fried rice was completely cold by then. Our meal was not good. My husband asked for some soy sauce, and we were told that the lady manager said we couldn 't have any. We asked why not? We always get a side of soy sauce. The server said her manager said no and that they do not give out soy sauce. What in the world? Even the cheapest places hand out packets. Makes so sense. Even just a few drops in a cup would have sufficed. We would have even paid extra to have some, but we were rudely told no. This was followed by more rude stares from this manager from far away. What a nightmare. Lastly, we were told that if we buy 2 bottles of soju, you get one free. Okay, cool. Maybe that will somewhat redeem this dumpster fire of a meal. We each had our own soju and then decided to take the 3rd one home. It was sealed. We didn 't open it. We were told we had to drink it there. That it 's the law . It 's actually not the law. During the pandemic, an order was set in place that sealed alcohol purchased from a restaurant can be taken home. That order has not been lifted. It 's still very much a thing. I know many restaurant and bar owners who can confirm this. Anyhow, my husband is very disappointed at this time and has to drive us home. So I down that whole last bottle of soju since hey it was free. You 'd think with getting our order wrong, and having us wait 40 min for a new order, that we would get an apology or one of our fried rices comp 'd. But, no. Instead, we were told no soy sauce and got glared at by the manager our entire meal. We were the only Mexicans dining there, and I 'd hate to think this was all because of that. We will not be back. This is terrible because we truly did love this place.
Bomb Korean Chicken and Beer spot! Our party of four got the whole order of the Golden Original Chicken (16 pcs) and medium order of Secret Spicy wings (10 pc) The Golden Original Chicken is a classic order and was perfectly golden and crispy. The Secret Spicy (yangnyeom) had a sweet kick and wasn't spicy at all. We ordered a couple of cold beers because you can't eat Korean chicken without ordering some cold beers. We also got some French Fries, fried jalapeños, radishes, and a cabbage salad to pair with the chicken. The service was a bit slow but the quality of the food made up for it. If you find yourself craving authentic Korean chicken this spot is a solid hit!
We had the rosé rice cakes along with a half half fried and spicy marinated chicken and it was so good! Their fried chicken is incomparable, so you must try the fried chicken. It's perfectly crispy outside--it's not aggressively crispy where the skin is so thick that it inconveniences you when you bite. It's perfectly thin and well fried, and the meat inside is tender and juicy. Dipped the fried chicken in the rosé sauce. *chef's kiss* The marinated chicken was alright. All in all, I would be ordering more of their fried chicken and their pasta.
