Oriental Soup House - Budapest

The Oriental Soup House restaurant is located about five hundred meters from the Jászai Mari tér station in Budapest. It is one of the most visited places in an area that has only recently begun to fill up with shops, bars, and cafes. As its name suggests, the Oriental Soup House specializes in soups and typical Asian dishes. Here you can try everything from the famous Vietnamese Pho to Chinese Dim Sum. The prices are quite affordable even by Hungarian standards. For example, the Dim Sum soup costs only 1190 forints (less than four euros). There are also typical Asian desserts available, such as black rice with coconut milk and Taiwanese tapioca pudding. While the restaurant is quite large, it can be difficult to get a table during peak hours. Fortunately, the restaurant has an outdoor terrace that is perfect for sunny days.

We tried the canh tofu and mien ga vega. if I had to get one, it would be the mien ga vega. then the waiter encouraged us to try the dessert we didn't want to say we were full, but somehow we couldn't avoid the temptation. we gave in and called after the tapioca pudding, it was worth it. the best part about this restaurant, all allergens are mentioned by paying alongside the name of the plate and they can check what they are in their lists. I have not found this efficiency so far. the staff are polite and friendly. as it is one of the best places in the city, it is advisable to reserve a seat. we had luck and found a table, the restaurant was filled with customers.

Friendly staff who respond kindly to their concerns regarding the ingredients. it is better to book a table there, because although it is not a nice place, it is packed with people even during the weekday.

This place is famous for its soups. well, I tried their only vegan pasta option anyway, which was pretty good, not the best. had some unpleasant moments along with my lunch, but as I said, suppening are the one to go away I guess.
