Candlewyck - Buckingham

While we were browsing the menu to decide what to order, we noticed a regular customer who received a chicken parmesan dinner that looked quite tempting, served on a bed of pasta. However, the regular mentioned to the bartender that while the chicken was good, the pasta was unappetizing. Based on that feedback, we decided against ordering food and simply asked for the bill to settle up. A few days later, I reviewed my credit card statement and discovered that I had been charged more than what I had signed for, including the tip. I called the restaurant to resolve the issue and was offered a cash refund, but I would have to pick it up or receive a gift card. Since I live about 15 miles away, going there just to rectify their mistake would be too inconvenient. As a result, I ended up filing a dispute with my credit card company instead.

The restaurant has a bit of a “dive bar” vibe, but in the most positive way possible. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff is consistently friendly to me and my family. Yes, the dining room could use some updates, but I believe that adds to its charm. Don’t miss the weekly specials; they are always spot on!

We had a fantastic first visit! The waitress was incredibly helpful with our grandchildren, making them feel special and cheerfully cleaning up any messes. The service was outstanding. The food was delightful, and the atmosphere was very cozy. We'll definitely be returning!

Among the best wings I've ever had. The rest of the food is spectacular too. Very friendly staff and good beer selection. Great bottle shop attached as well. Breakfast in the bottle shop is great. Best pork roll, egg and cheese anywhere. The servers here are really excellent. New special on Tuesdays $6 for 10 wings!

The WYCK cheesesteak was amazingly delicious. Do not skip out on the cheese curds either. Wow! We will beack next time we are in the area.
