This was a very special place to visit: very friendly atmosphere, old fashioned familiar decoration, exquisite coffee aroma and Cristina's large smile and huge eyes. Me and my friends were friendly greeted, effective & quick served. Excellent hot wine, goood coffee & prices, tasty snacks. This place has stories to be told and listened! Could be a very good choice for a cup of tea or coffee and a good playlist right in the middle of old Bucharest.
The most beautiful cafe in Bucharest !!! After living in Brasov for 3days I had finally real and authentic coffee there . The decoration was so perfect . Christina was so friendly . You made us the best coffee .
Being on a business trip in Bucharest last week,I felt the need of drinking a good coffee; strolling down the street towards the old town coming from Unirea Shopping Center which is right across the boulevard,I knew that on this street (Halelor street) there is a Starbucks ; but I somehow felt that I wanted to try something else, like a good strong and longer espresso; so I looked more attentively to the street front and saw a cafe which announced nothing special at first glimpse and which is Leonard Caffe; I went inside and told the girl at the coffee machine that I want to drink a good coffee;she said they are preparing Americano with two shots of espresso; that sounded very good as I don't like weak coffees but at the same time,I'm not very fond of small espressos as I like to drink more coffee; so I accepted the offer which proved to be appropriate; I noticed that they had a large variety of roasted coffee beans and found out that they had some exqusite sorts of coffee but which accordingly were more expensive; the smell of good coffee was obvious ; then I noticed that the place was very originally decorated; however I preferred to sit outside as it was warm and due to smoking reasons...; the outside tables are made of refurbished Singer sewing machines which have the upper plates changed so as to serve as normal tables ; I can say that I felt very good there, the coffee was excellent and I noticed that on the door there is a quote from the most famous coffee maker in Bucharest ,Mihail Constantin Florescu who is of Armenian origin, still alive and who sells the most exquisite and most expensive coffee assortments in Bucharest and whose clients are famous personalities of Bucharest ; I'm not sure though as I didn't ask whether the coffee is delivered by Mr.Florescu; anyway,it is a place not to miss !
Unusual decoration but beautifully put together, hot chocolate thick and the service quick and efficient, reasonable prices
