Cafe Mon Amour - Bucharest

Alone on business trip I wanted to eat, but it can be tireless to eat alone. This café is directly opposite Sheraton Hotel. It is more a bistro than a café and has a very extensive menu. I'm a Fussy-Esser and there was a lot of choice for me. There were many locals at tables outside, so it seems to be popular, but I sneaked away inside, as I had no jacket, and just wanted to relax with a book. Service was moderate but business, the waitress was not exactly smiling/friendly. English is spoken. The food was okay. I had cream from Broccoli soup with crooutons (very nice), a chicken sandwich that came with frits (cold) and a diet capsule. Total cost of £10, which seemed reasonable although it was my first night, so I don't know how to compare prices with other places.

We wanted something light to eat and saw this cafe opposite our hotel. Very friendly service. I had pasta with ham n mushrooms in a creamy sauce with gran padana grated on top. Very generous serving I couldn't finish it all. My partner had the pasta special which was equally good Relaxed atmosphere and good value with a good bottle of Romanian merlot. Bill came to approx £30 in total. Great value

The place is interesting , whit beutiful design but the service not so good and the food arived cold .

I was looking for a decent meal and a nice atmosphere the reviews I've read suggested Cafe Mon Amour fit the bill plus TripAdvisor listed the food as Romanian/European. Boy, I was disappointed! First of all, the food is no way roundish it is mainly Italian pizza and pasta. I tried to order a salad and penne with Mushrroms sauce, but the waitress said that too much food was for me! Seriously! Well, after this exchange I should have gone, but I did not order, only the pasta, which in fact was a lot of pasta it was blanching but over anointed I ate about half of it. The waitress ignored me the rest of the time I was there, I had to charge her. If you're an older woman who travels solo, don't go here. They'll treat you how stupid you are and then ignore you.
