A la Turca - Bucharest

This place was there forever and keeps the standard. Very unpretentious, but very tasty and cheap food.

If you are a person who enjoys the setting of the restaurant and the well-thought design, you cannot appreciate this place. However, this is not the charm of the place. With modest ambience and little care for design, this restaurant offers extremely delicious food. The Shawarma, Falafel, Ayran, Lahmaçun, chicken kere, hummus and flat bread are delicious. The restaurant makes its own fresh flat bread. They also offer out. If you are looking for good Turkish food, this is the place to go.

A la Turca is a traditional Turkish place where you can eat Turkish food locally made on the wooden grill. Although a little small and cramped, it replaces the lack of comfort and space with some fantastic dishes that really are a special aroma due to the fact that are boiled on open wood fire. At the entrance they have a showcase freezer where you can handle the food you want to eat. The waiter will bring it to boiling and be prepared on site. They also do some oven baked Turkish bread, that is server from the house with the meal, the bread is taken fresh out of the oven when it servers. They also serve at the counter of the traditional Turkish saw. Really good food for a really good price.

I usually come with friends, we stay for about 2 3 hours. The food is amazing from the Entree dish (pitta, hummus, spicy salad, tabbouleh, etc) to the Turkish dishes (such as kebab and lahmacun). The cooked food is also very delicious. The desserts are to die and the coffee (which comes in very small cups) I'm told it's very good. The staff is very friendly, the kitchen needs little time and the overall experience is quite beautiful. I've been visiting for more than 4 years and the food hasn't changed its taste yet, or the price...

Arrived there at about 22.30 in the evening and entered the small establishment inside. They have a few tables and a pretty consistent menu. And they also serve outside at a window for quick fast-food. Order was for 2 persons, one item was prepared in the oven. Order came very fast and it was pipping hot. Be careful. Very tasty. Received the salad plate with hummus, tabouleh, seasonal salad and pitta from the house. Also the Ayran was very good. They also have desserts like Kunefe and Gullac. Must try at least once.
