Ellis Gourmet Burger - Brussels

My partner and I both had a Vega beyond Burger here with vegan cheese. It was really delicious with a lot of ketchup! The frits were okay, but not great therefore 3* instead of 4*. Overall it was good and I would recommend.

Although there are only a couple of vegan options the Beyond Burger or the Holy Shiitake (mushroom patty, beautifully cooked woodland mushrooms, and a pepper sauce) they did not disappoint. Great bun, perfect burger composition. The Belgian fries are vegan, or you can also choose from sweet potatoes fries and vegan mayo, served in a decent portion and very tasty. One of our party, a meat eater, got the Flower Wings and loved them! We returned the next day and tried them perfectly cooked cauliflower, in a crispy batter and just the right amount of slightly spicy sticky glaze. They have a vegan dessert (a layered blueberry pie) but we didn't try it. Great option especially if dining with omnivores who would prefer meaty options. Updated from previous review on 2020 02 20

We tested the Beyond Burger and the Crazy Red Veggie. They were so good. There was May landlord (very good) and vegan May. Fried potatoes are fried in vegetable oil.

The other burger with cheese and the frits were really good, as well as the dessert! I'd probably go back.

The place itself unfortunately isn’t vegan, which makes me feel a bit uneasy (always worried about a possible switch in orders) but their Beyond Burger with vegan cheddar is really very good (gluten-free bun is an option).
