Unfortunately, they were out of the blueberry mix for the blueberry nojito (non-alcoholic), so they made a cherry nojito instead. I might order it that way from now on! The Old Fashioned was perfect. It was Sunday, so they had a special and limited menu. One person in our group had a dairy allergy and made sure their meal was dairy-free. The catfish was on the special menu and dairy-free. I would come back for this dish. The biscuit probably contained dairy, so they didn't risk eating it. The sides included green beans, rice, and collard greens. I would recommend all of them, although the collards could have been better. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and was so big and dairy-free. It was served with fingerling potatoes and asparagus, both of which were delicious, but I especially loved the potatoes. The shrimp and grits were not dairy-free, but they were so good! I always come back for this dish. I highly recommend making reservations as it can get busy. Happy hour is from 3-6 daily, even on weekends. The bar is first-come, first-served and usually full. It can be loud with the high ceilings, but it was very quiet today.
On Sundays, the restaurant offers a special Sunday Supper deal which includes a choice of one protein and three sides, as well as dessert for $13.75. I sat at the bar and found the staff to be friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious, made from scratch, and portions were generous. They also offer a selection of craft beers. I would definitely return to this restaurant if I am in Brewster again.
The bacon jam was incredible! This is the best steak I've had in a few years. I had dinner here and the price per person was $100+. The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated a 5. I highly recommend trying the Build Your Own Charcuterie Board, Duck Nachos, and of course, the Steak.
I live in Chicago, which is known as one of the best restaurant cities in the country. Unfortunately, there aren't many fine dining options in Brunswick, where my parents and in-laws live. However, we always make sure to visit Reid's Apothecary when we're in town. We celebrate special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays here. The cocktails are creative and the food is delicious, with exceptional service. This restaurant has become a favorite for us, and we always look forward to our visits. I highly recommend trying the Lamb Lollipops - they surpass anything I've had at Gordon Ramsay's restaurants. Don't hesitate to give it a try! (Photo of Lamb Lollipops included).
This restaurant in downtown Brunswick is truly exceptional! The atmosphere is charming and enjoyable, and the service is excellent. The food was outstanding. Even without a reservation on a busy Sunday morning, they were able to accommodate us in a quiet side room, which was wonderful. We began our meal with mimosas, and one of us opted for bottomless mimosas at a very reasonable price. The tomato bisque soup was rich, tasty, and surprisingly satisfying. We were thoroughly impressed by both of the Benedicts we ordered. In conclusion, it was a fantastic Sunday brunch experience!
