China Star - Broxbourne

It was the Friday that all the pubs and restaurants had to close due to the corona virus which makes me believe they tried to get as much as they could out of us they really overcharged and when we questioned it they got really angry with us they threatened us with the police we told them to go ahead then they changed there tune I’ve been going to the China star since the mid 90s and I willl never go again they are a bunch of crooks absolutely refused to give us an itemised bill. time to find somewhere else the food was average

It is disappointing to witness a once excellent restaurant decline in quality. The service is now lacking, and the food does not meet the same standards as before. Additionally, the prices have increased significantly. A meal for two people now costs over £70, making it not worth visiting anymore.

I have been dining at China Star restaurant and ordering takeout for some time now. I can confidently say that it is one of the top restaurants in Cheshunt in terms of food quality and the friendliness of the owner, Brandon, and his staff. Having visited Chinese restaurants around the globe, I can attest that China Star ranks highly among them. My family and I absolutely adore it.

My wife I attended this restaurant today to enjoy there Eat as Much as You Like cuisine but from the start we were awair of how Cold the restaurant was, I asked them to turn up the heating but was told it was Full on however it remained cold for the rest of our visit. The quality of the food had dramatically changed for the worst the time it took to serve us was 3 times longer than before due to there being only 1 waitress on duty. On needing to attend the Toilet I found that there was No Toilet Paper so I asked the manager to let me have the paper he said o.k then proceeded to get some drinks forget my request so I asked the waitress who ignored me so I was forced to go into the Lady's Toilet take a roll of toilet paper. When it came to paying the bill I noticed that they had put the prices up by about 15%. This was always an expensive restaurant but now the prices are prohibitive for what used to be an excellent restaurant has turned into a very expensive eating place that is Not worth attending any more!

Will not eat here again, way too expensive for an all you can eat and they were so slow bringing out the dishes and hesitant to give you anymore, the staff were not at all friendly and the atmosphere..... well there was no atmosphere put it that way, I walked out hungry but didn’t want to sit there any longer just waiting and waiting I gave it another chance after a few years and it’s got no better!!! Shame
