Had a quick stop on a busy working day. Did not have much timr to eat and enjoy myself so i had a quick fish ball noodle soup which was excellent. Service was also very good which is rare in chinese restaurant around Montreal. I will revisit Restaurant Gourmand d'Asie when i get the chance, i was not dissapointed.
They have a huge selection of food and so far everything we have eaten has surpassed our expectations. It honestly has the best general Tao on the south shore, which is a huge selling point for us. But my favorite is the chicken in green curry, coconut milk and basil sauce ( they have a veggies version of this too which is to die for). One of the best wonton soups we've ever had too.
This is a relatively new small to medium size restaurant. They have regular and set menu (with soup and dessert include, and you can choose from the menu on the list.) We ordered 3 dishes set menu: beef and vegetable satay, salt and pepper chicken (recommended!,) and eggplants with salted fish. All were great, not too salty! We also got pineapple smoothie and red bean and jelly drink (and they were not too sweet either). The servers were really nice and helpful. We will be back!
I have visited this restaurant three times. Overall, the food is fantastic, but at times, the flavor can be inconsistent.
