Though my review is only about the quality of the food, I just want to say, the service here is warm and attentive. The menu is in three section a salad section to which you can make into a table d'hôte for 5$. Then there's the plats favoris section which is a table d'hôte section with various choices. Come with either soup, or salad, or entree and dessert. It's 25$, what? How is this possible! The last section meats table d'hôte, 45$. Has filet mignon, lamb shank, lamb chops and veal. We ordered from the plats favoris for 25$ The entrée was mushroom puff pasty, it was flaky, mushroom was creamy but not too rich, well balanced mushroom to pastry ratio. For this to be part of a table d'hôte impressed me. Next I chose the butternut squash ravioli in rosée sauce. Ravioli cooked just right, filling was nice and sauce well balanced. I had the mascarpone with raspberry jam dessert. Light sweet and tangy, nothing fancy but nice. All this for 25$? See you next week?
Loved everything we had! The service was really good as well as the food. Everything is served like a set menu one appetizer, one meal and dessert. Some of our standouts were the gnocchi in cream basil white wine sauce, shrimp in saffron cream and the marscapone mousse. The couscous royale was great too!! Would 100% return!
This restaurant is located in a small strip mall just outside of Montreal. My family and I stumbled upon it because we found good reviews online and on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try; needless to say, we were not disappointed! The food was delicious and filling; we tried the three course set (appetizer, entree, dessert) as well as the single menu entree option. Both were cooked and seasoned well; the French, Mediterranean/Morrocan, and fusion flavors were so tasty. I had the ravioli with rosé sauce, and my mother had the chicken tajine. My father and brother had the couscous with veal, chicken, and lamb. The desserts were not too sweet (perfect for us) and so full of flavor. I had a lime mousse and my mother had an orange-flan type egg based dessert. The Moroccan mint tea was perfect after the meal. There is a language barrier (none of my family speaks French) but the waitresses and the chef all came to speak to us and worked with us on finding options that were allergen friendly. Great service, English and French menus, and amazing food. Definitely worth the trip and the time.
If I could give this restaurant more stars, I definitely would! The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We even ordered some items that were not listed on the menu, like 12 escargots in a fantastic creamy sauce. All of the main dishes were delicious and well balanced, both light and satisfying. The prix fixe option is an incredible deal - for only $5 more, you get a starter and a dessert! The location may not be the most convenient, unless you're already on the highway, but I personally believe it's worth going out of the way. This has been the best restaurant we've been to on our Canada trip so far, with great staff, great food, and great prices.
Just one taste of the food here and you can tell the chef has a real passion for food. The chef's exceptional finesse on seasoning gives it away. The balance of salinity, acidity, sweetness, and umami is spot on. There is also a decent depth of fragrance in the dishes as well. When a chef dedicates this much passion into food, you will have a great meal. Recommendations: Lamb chops Tajin Chicken Couscous Royal Fish soup
