I had made reservations a week in advance for a girls' night out with my friends. When we arrived at the restaurant, they initially couldn't find our reservation until I showed them the confirmation on my phone. They quickly found us a table, for which we were grateful. However, it took our waitress 10 minutes to acknowledge us and 25 minutes to bring us our drinks. Despite ordering a simple fountain drink, we were served in plastic cups while other patrons had glassware. It took an hour after ordering to receive our food. One of my friends had to repeatedly ask for her plate to be cleared as our table was crowded. Despite these issues, we still had a good time. I'm unsure if I will return to this restaurant in the future.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Old Chicago. Before arriving, I visited a few brew pubs, but found them to be overcrowded and overpriced. Old Chicago offered much better beer, food, and value. Despite being seated next to a children's baseball team during their end-of-season banquet, I was thrilled to have air conditioning. Their happiness was infectious and we were all in good spirits. I look forward to returning, especially since they have daily specials.
