I had my post-wedding dinner here for a group of 8. they were super friendly to set up the reservation, sit us and the service was great, but honest, their portion size and claim to the service “family style” was really puzzling. we ordered a tonne, but still starved. I would suggest you eat here for two and no more. they must order at least two “family style” entrees as well. Don't go back.
Had dinner here, it was good. they tried to be big league, but not quite there. had a wonderful lebermousse, pasta with mushrooms, and the pork soup. the pasta was 60 seconds too early for al dente, and there were hardly any mushrooms. the pork chop was delicious, but too rare, we were a bit unpleasant to eat, but went for him anyway. the fat was not made right it was so rare. but it was delicious. we are next to a real wood fireplace that was beautiful. significantly overpriced for quality.
I discovered the house of vinegar hill during a birthday brunch. I love the aesthetics, the original home, the local atmosphere and the location as well as the delicious menu. I enjoyed the sour apple pancakes and wish I had ordered more. we sat in the lower level next to a wood stove. absolutely wonderful place to enjoy on a date or with friends.
Mmm really yummy brunch, beautiful lil spot and delicious mimosa with grapefruit juice. The only thing I wish was that the portions were bigger because it was so yummy.
