In addition, there’s a clear plexiglass barrier at the counter to ensure protection for both employees and customers. It’s so clear that I’ve accidentally bumped into it a few times, mistaking it for an open space while reaching for my takeout. Currently, all seating has been removed to accommodate a takeout-only model, with no delivery options available as of yet. Despite the changes, I can confidently say that their chicken teriyaki remains a favorite of mine, so I encourage everyone to stop by and support this well-deserving local business. The cashier is also very friendly! **Review - May 8, 2020** Just to clarify, this place is more of a fast-food operation rather than a sit-down restaurant offering authentic Japanese cuisine. This is a go-to spot for lunch boxes, providing quick, affordable, and delicious meals. In my opinion, it’s my top pick for lunch, and sometimes dinner. As of May 9, 2020, the restaurant is temporarily closed due to the pandemic, and I’m unsure when they’ll reopen, but I'm eagerly awaiting their return. Before COVID-19, I loved stopping by for lunch; I frequently ordered the chicken teriyaki lunch box, which came with white rice, dumplings, and a soda, while my brother would get the beef teriyaki with fried rice. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and isn’t greasy, and sometimes I can’t finish the meal in one sitting, so I save the leftovers for the next day. Thankfully, the chicken and rice reheat nicely in the microwave! The interior is bright and has always been clean whenever I’ve visited. I typically don’t dine in; I just walk in to place my order and take it out. The staff has always been pleasant, and I’ve never encountered any issues or mistakes with my orders. Overall, this place is great for lunch if you’re looking for something a bit more substantial and healthier than the usual burger and fries. Keep in mind, though, that it is still fast food. It’s a solid choice, and they offer parking, which makes it super convenient when you’re just stopping by for a takeout order.
The restaurant only offers cold sushi, and unfortunately, it didn’t look or taste fresh. The ginger was old, and the chicken roll was stale. The portions were also quite small and not satisfying. I ended up wasting $50. This is how they treat the black community. We need to stop supporting these businesses and make it clear that we deserve better service.
The restaurant was clean, the staff was really friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. The music was enjoyable, and I never felt rushed. I will definitely return. My daughter finished all the dumplings; they’re her favorite!
