I've been meaning to get to this bar for a long time and it was worth the wait. The bartender, Siobhan, was wonderful. The beer and drinks are at a good price point and so is the food. I had the Irish Pork Sausage wrapped in Puff Pastry and it was very . I have to try the Shrimp Skewer the next time. The view from here is very nice. They also have outdoor seating. The vibe is laid back and the people there were very nice. I met some nice people there. This might be one of my new hangouts.
Good beers, decent chicken wings. Lots of TVs outside and inside for sports Gets busy when big games are on. Outdoor area has a couple heaters in the winter
The food was enjoyable, but the owner's attention to detail could use some improvement. It was a chilly Wednesday night, and we were simply searching for a place to grab a drink and watch the Knicks. It would be great to have small speakers inside the outdoor seating area connected to the TVs, along with some heating options. If you take care of your customers, they'll appreciate it and return the favor.
It might seem absurd to label an Ale House as the best bar in NYC, but it could very well be one of the top sports bars when you consider all aspects. Is it fancy? Not at all. However, it's a down-to-earth establishment that prioritizes quality every day of the week. The pub food is surprisingly excellent, the seating and viewing options are great, and the atmosphere is energetic with straightforward patrons and staff. Overall, it’s a place that truly understands its purpose.
