Chimu Express - Brooklyn

Great little place in Bushwick...Very good service, delicious food. Shrimp stuffed avocado appetizer a must...skirt steak was tender. Fried rice is a must have too...had the entree with chicken...it had some bacon in it which have it a smoky flavor. It was a huge portion.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorite Peruvian spots in Bushwick, but that changed with the new ownership. I ordered delivery, and the chicken was undercooked, while the soup was quite disappointing. I can't recommend this place anymore.

I tried to speak to the manager about the situation, but all he said was that he would check. We ended up walking away without any resolution. The waitress was completely incompetent, taking 45 minutes to verify our order without even bothering to apologize. It felt like she was trying to cover up her mistake. I am never coming back here. Stay away from this place!

The food is always fresh and tasty, the sangria is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I've been a regular here for years, and I truly hope they never close!

Chimu is SO good! The staff is friendly and food is delicious. My friend comes here everytime she is in NYC.
