Butler - Brooklyn

Pretty standard cafe. I got the lemongrass iced tea. Price is as expected and servers were really nice. Good cafe to just sit and chill with your friends or get some casual work done. I do like that they didn’t fill the entire cup with ice before filling it up with tea — it’s so annoying when you get half the liquid you paid for.

Butler served me well. The first time I went I was greeted by staff who reassured me that it was okay to post up inside the coffee shop and work on my laptop despite the busy morning rush. The second time I went to another location and again had a great experience. One of the staff, Danny made me a solid cortado. It was my first time in nyc and I had been on the prowl for good coffee. Butler ended my hunt.

Nice place with amazing view. Avocado toast was so delicious, just out of competition. They have a possibility to order right from the street, go inside or take a seat outside. Was not overcrowded in a Tuesday morning.

Love this place. This roasted sun choke charred spring onion walnut pesto soup was one of the best soups I’ve had! Rich, creamy, and flavorful. The staff is kind and the drinks and food arrived quickly. The indoors atmosphere is mellow, good music, usually not too crowded. Would definitely recommend

Favorite coffee place in Dumbo. The espresso drinks are excellent, with the coffee strong and perfectly roasted for the right balance of flavor and bitterness. My girlfriend says their chai lattes are one of the best she's had in New York as well. The coffee shop interior is large, well-lit and welcoming if you're coming with a group, with some tables for eating (they also serve cooked meals) as well as large communal tables in the middle if you just want to sit and chat while enjoying your drinks. UPDATE: Went back for brunch and got their breakfast sandwich, and that was pretty damn good too. The brioche bun is soft and buttery, and the eggs and bacon are done just right. Really great spot!
