This place in williamsburg is good to try. not for eating. not for the drinks (they do not serve cocktails except frozen margarita.) not for bowling (they must wait up toou long have the chance to play, especially the weekend after 8 o'clock) this place is ideal when they visit a concert. the room is huge, with hardwood floors and fortunately well air-conditioned if they are too hot and enthusiastic with the show! I had the opportunity to visit the atomic funk project live show, a group of musicians sings the best of prince and stevie, soul, radio, pop and rock. I danced two hours when I was in my 20s. there's a cover fee.
I've been here to see the superbowl and a Christmas party. this is my first back since the beginning of the pandemic. we brought handsanitary and the wet wipes that came with the food. the bbq wings and fried chicken were delicious. the calamari is also good, but quickly becomes cold. the meat flatbread and vegetarian flatbread look similar. the masquerade has been lifted for restaurants, so that only workers it. I wish the participants wore it too.
Let me start with i love billy strings. this review has nothing to do with the musician and everything to do with the venue. I've been tracking billy strings since 2016, and when I heard he plays in vegas, well, we bought tix to see him in brooklyn bowl. the show has been sold out and well earned for billy and band, but perhaps Brooklyn bowl sold more tickets than it is equipped to accommodate?. if they like the feeling of becoming a sardine in, then that is the place for them! it seemed enough bars and toilets to be, but the ga space was hot and a constant shoulder bumping fight of the room. billy was amazing, but Brooklynn bowl was more interested in ticket sales and it made the night a disappointing weekend. how much more per ticket would bb want before they could offer a beautiful venue?
Atmosphere is great. Bowling alley was super clean. Maybe a bit lower tech compared to others. Yet not am issue. On weekends they do live bands. Which is a good alternative to the sounds of crashing pins. Yet cover charge is required even if yiu just want to bowl.Actual bowling costs are a tiny bit less than other alleys in the area, so it kind of nets out. Bar is decently stocked and the bartender we ended up sitting near did a well job of getting drinks out quick. Even when there was a slight crowd forming. It's literally like a club behind you and bowling in front. We went on a Saturday night. Was a little over 2 hours to wait for an alley. Yet we walked in and got our name on the wait list. Got a text message when my turn came up. Then bowled for about 2 hours. Staff came over to ask if we wanted more food or drinks every 45 minutes or so. Then near the end told us we had about 15 minutes left since we were nearing the 2 hour mark. Maximum time per alley. There's also a dining area. We didn't really check that out. Bathrooms upstairs were good too.
