The owner clearly loves and cares about the place and came over to chat with us several times. We chose a fish roe spread, hummus, and an artichoke spread for the krya. The hummus was delicious and had a unique flavor, the fish roe spread was also good, the artichoke spread I would skip. The grape leaves were some of the best I have had. The gyro and the sausage in the meat platter appetizer were outstanding. Unfortunately the chicken and the pork were overcooked and dry. The branzino was perfectly cooked in a lovely sauce. The kalamata olive mashed potatoes were unique and the green beans were nice, crunchy and lemony.
Found a welcoming place for a very late brunch on Fathers Day. Service was attentive and pet-friendly in an outdoor sitting that was nicely set up. Ordered a bunch of appetizers and salad and had a wonderful time. The calamari was crisp and tender, flambed halloumi cheese was tasty, loved the briny taramosalata dip with pita, giant fava beans in tomato braise, dolmas andBeet salad.
This place is awesome authentic Greek food. Served w personality, smiles, professionalism. The homemade desserts were killer! Not to mention the aperitif presented in a windex bottle!! Loved it?Food: 5/5
Some of the best authentic Greek food I've had outside of greece. The grilled octopus appetizer was stunning. Every dish we ordered was glorious and the owner brought us a slice of baklava cheesecake on the house. 100/10Food: 5/5
This will probably be the most in-depth food review you will ever see lol: first, let me set the scene, i love greek food. i would say it's my favorite cuisine. i'm from long island and have a favorite place back home but i moved to brooklyn 6 months ago and haven't really found anything up to par. here's my review, i got elliniki salad with a chicken kebab and it came with a side of pita, tzatziki, and hummussalad: i really liked how the dressing comes on it already. especially how since greek dressing can be greasy and it doesn't taste the same when you have to put the dressing on yourself. the feta was very creamy. the salad comes with that typical leaf wrapped rice thing (i forget the name) with some sweet sauce on it that was absolutely divine. i really liked the dressing and how the tomatoes were chopped. the romaine was nicely chopped and not too big. i did wish there were some radishes. chicken: i hate roasted peppers and the skewer comes with peppers on it which was annoying but it's fine. the chicken lacked some flavor. didn't really taste like much. tad dry. tzatziki: more so like a garlic greek yogurt (which is what i prefer) as opposed to a sauce with too much dill. it was very garlicy (almost spicy) and it was very yummy. it had a thick texture too. hummus: not a huge hummus person but the hummus was good. really complex flavor. pita: warm and fluffy, comes cut up small which i didn't mind but if you like to make mini gyros with the pita, you may not be able to. overall: 7.8 rating. my favorite place is probably a 9. i'm giving it a 7.8 instead of 8 because of the chicken ultimately. i really wished there was more flavor. otherwise, very very happy and will definitely order again!
