Archway Cafe - Brooklyn

Manager/owner does not wear masks inside! that's the second time.

Their website and google informs 8 clock opening times. I made a reservation of 8:30. When we arrived, they had the doors open and coffee tables out. the master informed that they were closed. her “open!” the sign was in the window. I turned her badly. I politely asked the owner who sat there like a lump on a log if I could use the toilet room. he was beyond rude. a whole idiot.

We sat in free due to covid measures. they have sun umbrellas with outdoor and casual chairs (not comfortable enough to live for hours) outside the sitting area is fraught with passing subway train sounding every 5 min so hard to hold a cone with friends. that said eating is exquisite and reasonable. wish there could be something you could do about the environment noise (it's too much.) short of which the brunch menu is amazing.

I was looking for a place to eat in dumbo and found archway cafe on open table. it turned out to be a really wonderful place. I had to start the watermelon salad that was fresh and delicious. then I had the hummus plate with cauliflower and butternut cuff, which was only sensational. I finished the Nussella pizza that was just decadent. the service was great and the prices appropriate.

The food was very good. Disappointed by the number of flies in the seating area and around our tables. That may give me pause before coming again.
