The takeaway food at this restaurant is excellent. I first visited this place when it opened in 1971 and the food is still great and affordable.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I found a hair in my food, and I know it wasn't mine because it was stuck in with the chicken. Additionally, the food was served cold.

I ordered one of the prepared meals and added a couple of things that was done in 10 minutes. I took this home and started eating! Oh my god, what rubbish it had no taste and tasted reheated, the best was yet to come Fishcakes! The size of the burnt rounded things of 50 ps is horrible, in fact, the bad could not even bother to recover it and complain that this is the second bad meal from here, they will not have a third chance better avoided.

So, I thought I would give this takeaway a try, having seen mixed results. I placed and order for one of their set menus for two (priced at £25) and was told that it would be ready in 10 minutes! This amazed me as all other restaurants locally take a good 30 45 mins to prepare food... Upon collection, the food was indeed ready within 10 minutes and it wasn’t until I got it home did i understand why it was so quick. Everything appeared pre cooked and was just re heated. Part of our meal was a crispy aromatic duck. An all time favourite of mine, but this one was horrendous. Not only was it cooked to a cinder, but there was a nice, long, wavy hair wrapped around the duck and cooked. This started the meal off badly....this wasn’t the only disappointment: the sesame seed bread was dripping in grease and too tough to eat. This standard continued through he rest of the meal sadly. I don’t like writing negative reviews but this one had to be written. I’m saddened that one of my local restaurants is so poor I won’t be returning.

We tried this place for the second time and can honestly say that the food was pathetic. The food was bland and best of all there was so much onion and peppers they need to change the titles of the food to: with a hint of chicken, beef and king prawns. The singapore noodles was disgusting and the sesame prawn toast was a few days old, we're sure. We wouldn't have a take way from here even if it was free! Aviod this place like thye plague and if you're a local to Petts Wood, avoid Coral Sea as well as it has gone under new management and is also vile.
