One of the best, good traditional chip shop, fresh food cooking all the time, great portions, friendly and efficient staff
Very tasty, nice staff, clean, good portion sizes, and they do skate! Would be five stars but they forgot the curry sauce. Will be going again
Fantastic fish and chips! The chips are thick and crispy, just as they should be, and not greasy at all. The portions are generous, so be careful not to order too much. The service is friendly, and they’re always willing to cook your order fresh, ensuring it’s piping hot when you pick it up. A definite thumbs up—I won’t be going anywhere else now that we’ve discovered this place. Excellent!
Here are two important things to know about English fish and chips: First, there's a type of fish called skate, which has an odd appearance with its flat shape and upward-facing eyes. However, the side flaps known as wings are quite delicious and featured in some variations of the dish. One of the best places to enjoy them is Salisbury Fish Chips, where they typically serve the "middle wing," the most meaty part. Be sure to ask for a "midd." Their oil is fresh, making for perfectly crispy chips. It's a good idea to call ahead if you're visiting during busy times. I’ve attached a photo of my middle wing — I ordered it here, not just for fun, but to show what it looks like. Or maybe I should have taken the photo before I took a bite!
