Delicious fresh food. very friendly service and price. update: feb great to see that they are reopened. the daily special bean stew was wonderful!

This charming cafe is definitely worth a visit. While the menu is not as extensive as before Covid, it is still a great spot for a lunch outing or to simply enjoy a delicious coffee or tea. The cakes are delightful and mostly homemade. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, regardless of how much or little you choose to eat.

We were looking for a quiet spot to catch up with a friend we hadn't seen in a while. Unfortunately, the restaurant was empty for a reason. The hygiene standards were lacking, especially in the customer toilet which was dirty and overflowing with rubbish. The service was slow and chaotic behind the counter. Despite the lack of customers, there was no effort made to address the cleanliness or clear tables. It was disappointing and we will not be coming back.

We wanted to try somewhere a little different and always try and visit independent restaurants/cafés. They say the open at 7.30. Not so. We got there at 8am today (Tuesday). Shutters were down and no-one inside. We had to go else where. We walked passed again at 8.35am. The shutters we partially open so obviously someone was preparing to open up.... I can only assume at 9am! If you are wanting an early breakfast, do not trust their opening times on their website. Sadly, I cannot comment on their food!

I fancied a vegan lunch, and settled for humus and avocado with tomatoes on sourdough toast. It was served with an olive and green salad which finished off the dish perfectly. All very fresh and tasty, and the staff were so friendly and made me feel very welcome.
