Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe had our second family dinner in two weeks at The Change of Horses. The food and drinks were excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant was a complete disappointment and not worth the money. The Sunday lunch was practically inedible, the service was poor, and I will never be going back again. Avoid this place at all costs.
We went with some friends for lunch on Saturday 14th Oct. The new menu is great, the food is better than most pubs around , prices are good, but the best was the service...Very friendly, attentive to details, engaging and constant check of our food and drinks. Catherine, the barmaid, really looked after us extremly well. I would recommend the chicken catzu curry, spicy but not too much...a delight.Thank you to all.
What a strange coincidence - not being from the area, but having friends nearby. Last year, after a walk in Chartwell, we visited a pub in Westerham, and today we visited The Change of Horse with a local friend. To our surprise, we ran into the same barmaid who worked at the Westerham pub last year. As I mentioned in a previous review, this young lady (who shares my name, Jayden) provided impeccable service. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Despite being the only staff member working, she was efficient and attentive. We ordered from the specials menu - a starter and main for £12 - and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, with the soup as a starter followed by a chili and a ploughman's. The rice tasted a bit like it was pre-packaged, but given the price, I had no complaints. After Jayden recommended the desserts, we tried the chocolate cake (which was amazing) and the crumble (delicious, despite the small portion size). After a couple of whiskies, good food, and excellent service, I inquired about booking for Christmas Day. I was a little disappointed to hear they were unsure about serving food that day, especially since it seems the rest of the industry has already sold out. However, this did not affect my overall experience. I have mentioned it before and will say it again - Jayden's service is exceptional, and we did not lack for anything, even on a busy day. The service charge was well-deserved. This pub could thrive with its good food and incredible staff. I just hope that on my next visit, it will be busier with a livelier atmosphere.
I went there for afternoon drinks today. My mum took a little while to get served. I went to get the second round in and ended up waiting 10 minutes like a lemon because they were constantly serving their friends who came in after me. I asked to be served but was always told Be with you in a sec and they weren 't. Eventually I walked away. Unacceptable and rude behaviour.
