We were at the village hotel and decided to eat in their restaurant in the first night. there was a selection of a set menu or a la carte and we chose this one. Although it is advertised as an Italian restaurant, this is not in the menu that is really international, do not serve many italian teryaki lachs, piri piri huhn, bbq pork etc. but there were some pasta dishes. to begin, we chose chicken linlipops (delicious) and fritto misto (good, but some elements were too scattered). then followed a syrup steak (perfect cooked) and chicken-carbonara (unusual, but pleasant). from the rather limited weinlist (which was also not very Italian) we found a beautiful rioja at a reasonable price. our Australian waitress was brilliantly chatting, attentive and fast to clear what they hope. overall a pleasant experience, but do not expect much from an Italian menu.
Decided to have a break from cooking on Sunday, so decided to go here. we booked for 3.45. at no point we were told that this was the end of the carvery service. the restaurant was not busy, and yet I had to. looking for a waitress to order drinks. the starter area was exhausted to say the least, but the actual carvery was not bad. bark meat, truthahn and ham, much veg, yorkshire pudding, pork in cover, filling, brat and kartoffel and gravy, all well cooked. we then went to our pudding who were almost unexistent apart from some obstsalat and wail, who saw as if they were the most of the afternoon. I had diners seen on another table that was offered apple crumbs and custard, so I went back on looking for a waitress and we were finally served very dried to crispy with a cloudy custard. all in all not the best culinary experience. even if it was the end of the service, we paid the same as if we had arrived at the beginning and had had the same choice. will not go back or recommend
I even after work for a quick bite to eat. chose one of the healthy options warm spinat and grilled chicken my 1. Observe it looked quite small, lacked extra spinat and salat, but I ordered a side order of sweet potato...Fries (less healthy) very tasty, the dish was delicious and was the perfect amount of eating with the added frits. I think it's a bit above the price at £18, so I think it should contain a next order or £15, but all the staff was helpful and even though it took a little time to get was worth waiting. I was before and would go back.
We were staying at the hotel that Buca di Beppo is attached to and having eaten here before decided to go again! I’m so pleased that we did. The service was outstanding and the food well all I can say is wow! I had the...red pepper and tomato soup and it was so good. Definitely homemade and made very well it was too. For mains I had fillet steak with sweet potato fries. We also had greens and bacon and garlic mushrooms as side dishes. My steak was cooked perfectly and was just the right size. The garlic mushrooms we absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend them! All in all a very enjoyable evening and we will 100% be back!!!
