I don't each Chinese food too often- but a couple times a year I get a craving for it. We usually come here, to the New York Resturant and last night was no exception. I got the weekend for one combo, which consisted of large portions of broccoli and beef, chicken fried rice, chicken balls, and an egg roll. I also got a hot and sour soup. All were delicious- I placed my order 20 minutes to close and all the ingredients were fresh. I reccomend this place to anyone who is looking for Chinese takeout, I never get that "sick" feeling after Chinese food either at this resturant!

I have eaten at the New York Restaurant over the years under different owners. Always had good reviews of it. However, my last visit left me with a less than good impression. The food was over cooked in some cases, the egg rolls questionable and the chicken balls seemed as though they had been around for awhile. I won't buy there again.

We were looking for Chinese food in Brockville and this was one of two places suggested at our hotel. We were tired after a day of poor driving in a winter storm and stopped for the night. The restaurant is in the old part of town and just a pleasure to sit at the window table for two watching the traffic go by and looking at the beautiful old buildings. Our waitress was a lovely young woman, very friendly and competent immediately making us feel at home. We both ordered combination plates which started with egg rolls and ended with almond cookies. Mine had chicken fried rice, beef and broccoli dish and sweet and sour chicken balls. My dinner companion had fried rice, chopped greens and sweet and sour chicken balls. We ended up taking half of it back to the hotel for later. The food was good but the waitress who served it was a delight. The prices were very reasonable. Great place to eat.
