I went with a ginger ale as being tired wasn?t in the mood to have a beer. I?m actually sat there was able to do a lot of accounting and still no food had arrived it took just on 1 hour before I finally got to eat l wasn?t interested in staying there for the atmosphere it was noisy and as people our drinking there getting louder. What for me seemed strange is normally if your the bar man he or she stays at the bar to do the drinks but it really comes across especially here that the staff run around like headless chickens other waitress and waiter they came over to the bar to collect drinks and stood in amazement that no one was there then had to stop do there drink orders then off again. All in all a horrible experience I certainly want be going back here. What I find strange is if your kitchen is slow then tell the customer that there will be a wait as while l was sat there I wasn?t seeing much food coming out of the kitchen for ages then it started slowly
Had a fantastic dinner here, right from the start it was great. We were seated quickly and the person sitting us was very friendly and funny and had a warm personality. Our waitress/server was Lauren I believe? was the best, very warm and and friendly and very willing to give us advice aka to wait until 9 pm to be able to get 1/2 price appetizers. we have never been to Chucks and came from out of town) definitely would return to this location! Thanks for the great experience!
Waited approximately 15 minutes to be seated. Finally was able to call someone over asked for a table. While we waited for a server two more couples arrived separately and were seated. We watched while they in a 20 minute period got their drinks. I got up asked one of the servers if we could get a server to our table. At that point she had someone come take our drink order. I ordered the garlic pan bread. It was tasteless and the texture was rubbery. I ordered the top sirloin steaK cooked medium. It was grizzly dry. I had to get the attention of the server to ask if I could have some ketchup steak sauce. However, at this time she did offer to get us refills from the bar. The bill was quick in being brought to our table. When looking at it later I noticed the honest to goodness fee. Very sneaky as there are no signs around to tell you about it.
We drove just over 1hr to try Chucks. What a waste of time, gas and money. Its incredibly loud in the restaurant. Food was decently priced. The ribs look like Giant Tiger specials. I couldn 't cut the meat with my steak knife or put my fork into it. I thought I was hitting bone, but it was just rock hard meat. Waitress apologized and brought me a new one. Chicken was tasteless. Frozen French fries were the best part of our meal. And the best part of all is the honest to goodness fee added to your bill without any warning. When we asked the waitress what it was she directed us to the drink menu which has a description on it, and she ran away before we could ask further questions. FYI, it 's a tax applied to every bill, regardless of what you order, to cover the cost of the meat that they are under pricing on the menu. Never darkening the door again. Absolute joke of a meal.
Nice little place. The steak was good, well cooked. However the corn that was served with it wasn't fresh that much. All in all, i think it's the best option to eat in that area among the higway. It was cosy and it has a diversify menu.
