I had a great roast pork dinner and it was great value at £11.95. Perfect crackling and also came with yummy apple sauce. Doesn’t come much better than this! Good choice of puddings. Nice to see Bakewell tart and bread and butter pudding alongside the more usual sticky toffee.
I visited a charming village pub that offers delicious homemade food. I ordered the steak and ale pie, and it was delicious. The menu has a nice variety of options, including desserts. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly. I will definitely be returning this weekend!
Lovely traditional cosy pub , great food, really good value! The service was exemplary considering just one young girl was doing everything! We are regulars at eating out and are so pleased to have had a great experience here as this will now be a favourite local to pop in for lunch or dinner. Menu is great, I really struggled to choose ! So many things I want to try ! Well done to all the staff and management at The Bell !
Located just a short five-minute drive from where we were staying at Haveringland Hall while on holiday, we were delighted to discover The Bell - a charming pub restaurant nearby. This typical old-fashioned village pub became our go-to dining spot during our week-long stay thanks to its delicious and varied menu. We enjoyed dishes from the special board such as prawn curry, fish and chips, and Cromer crab salad, all of which were flavorful and came in generous portions. The highlight of our meals was the decadent mega chocolate indulgence ice cream sundae. The staff were friendly and efficient, and they followed all COVID regulations, making us feel relaxed and safe. Well done, THE BELL!
We visited the Bel at Cawston on the 12th July 2021 for a Sunday lunch and as the title says it was the worst Sunday lunch meal we have EVER had. We arrived in good time for our booked table and the staff were great very friendly we chose a table in the garden, however the time it took to get our order in was quite long and when the Beef roasts arrived they were at best only just warm, my wife's meat was mostly fat and gristle the veg on both plates was raw and cold and the gravy was water thin barely brown. We have been in the hospitality trade and know how hard it is to produce good meals. We did not complain at the time but called in again to tell them about the meal, the outcome was not what we were expecting as we had been (before lock down regular customers eating there every Sunday evening for around 7 years. It is with a heavy hart that I am posting this on trip adviser it is not something that I would normally do.
