Spanish Diner At Mercado Little Spain

So disappointed in this new restaurant! Not much flavor and out dishes delivering metal plates and bowls. Expensive food should be more properly presented. Zero seasoning. Not Jose Andres food! We had a glass of salt foam as an excuse for a Margarita. Salt water and sweet mix. Tequila? Not much! So sad and disappointed as a good customer of China Poblana and Jaleo

I was seated immediately even though the rest of my party wasn't there yet, which is unusual. The decor was very attractive and modern. The servers were cheerful and helpful. My gazpacho was delicious, and the entree was remarkable. Not too expensive considering the quality.

I came here before the pandemic and remembered having a great dinner, so I gave it a try. Loved the atmosphere and flower shop next to it. Perfect place for Valentine’s Day. Food was not my favorite..Squid stew (cooked in own ink) was not tasty. Perhaps roux was not thickened enough and texture of squid was too mushy. My husband’s dish was better: fried pork cutlet was too greasy with fried egg and fried potatoes. Maybe I’m not a fan of fried food or stewed food. Maybe other selections of food would be better.

Please read the comments before going. As others mentioned, food was terrible and overpriced for its quality. Services and the atmosphere were fine and that’s why we were later surprised by how bad the food was. We went for Shake Shack after dinner.
