Papillon Bistro - Broad Channel

Came here for their Christmas decorations. We live in the city but wanted to try something “touristy”. It was really cool inside, but the food was just okay and a bit overpriced.

We waited 30 minutes prior to being served by our waitress. once we ordered our drinks, the servers did not inform us that they did not have some of the beverages available. The drinks that were served were both flat and not made properly. The only good thing about this place is Christmas decorations. They are really festive and nice. The food was mediocre at best. It took forever to get the drinks, we had to ask several people for them. The waiters and hostesses were unfriendly and a bit rude. The restrooms were dirty, no tp or paper towels in both women’s and men’s rooms. I also didn’t appreciate the mandatory 20% tip that was included into my check.

The best thing about this restaurant is the decorations. The food online was not what was available. We were given a very small menu and then upon ordering find out the thing we wanted was out. I ordered a medium burger that came well done. Glasses sat empty with no refills.

Horrible service. Main courses unavailable. Food was half delivered to table. Shameful. Totally not reccomended for food or service. I walked out without eating after 45 min in the restaurant.
