The staff are the star of the show, they all go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. Whether its an extra blanket, a late night ice tea from the coffee corner or any directions, they are happy to accommodate. While the rooms are small, they are nicely laid out, decorated well and are kept spotlessly clean. The bed had great linens and pillows and the room was cool despite the heat wave. We both slept really well, something that is rare for us at a hotel. The great lobby area compensated for the room being too small to relax in for any length of time although it did have a desk. The lobby was relaxing with a great open area coffee shop and a bar for the evening. The seating area in the lobby was only open to guests, so unlike some other hotels, it did not fill up with outsiders settling in on their computers all day with just a cup of coffee. There was always room to sit and the space had a nice vibe without feeling noisy and claustrophobic. We enjoyed both the complementary ice and hot coffee and tea as well as the baked goods (for purchase) in the morning as well as the wine hour in the early evening. Lastly, we found the location to be great with lots of fun restaurants right out on Broadway. We will definitely be back on our next visit!
This hotel does not feel like a 4-star hotel and it is not worth the very high price you pay for the night. Although I was put in a room on one of the highest floors, the city view is not worth the extra money you pay for. The welcome wasn’t very warm either. The cafe and the restaurant downstairs are not part of the hotel and you therefore have to pay separately for those, including tips at the cafe counter, even though no actual service is provided. When I tried to order room service, the website they had provided was not working and neither the restaurant, nor the reception wanted to take care of the problem (each saying it was the other’s responsibility). I had to insist in order to finally get the food. I also asked for my sheets to be changed but this was not done. The fact that there is no dressing room/closet in the room is also unfortunate. One of the perks of the hotel was the fact that coffee/tea and house drinks (during one hour per day) are offered for guests. I should also note that one of the reception ladies (whom I forgot the name but spoke French) was however really nice and helpful. Overall not worth the price (nor the hype).
Went to made for a BDAY Weekend with my BEST FRIEND and I have to say it definitely MADE MY BDAY WEEKEND GREAT! We were in the Jr. Suite and it was great for our weekend celebration. Especially with the nice comfortable balcony of the 29th Street view. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Small rooms as expected in NY but works and is efficient and functional. Bed was comfortable. Room was a little noisy and you can certainly hear your neighbors. TV was small and hidden behind some panels that don’t fully retract. Only a few hangers and all rusted . Team was helpful and good attitudes.
Fantastically located in mid-town, this modern, funky and relaxed hotel has larger rooms than many in the area, with incredibly comfortable beds and exquisitely soft linen. The rooftop bar is a haven and worth a proper rummage, whilst the coffee bar and downstairs bar/restaurant give further opportunities to refuel or detox as you need.
