Stall had no way of heating it up. I am temperature sensitive so I need food to be warm/hot to enjoy. Th only hot item was the side soup. The food was not old or anything, it just wasn’t my preference. FYI, the chili and ginger sauces have salt in them so don’t douse. They were not stingy with sauces like most Chinese places which I appreciate.
Family ordered their Hainan chicken delivery and was surprised by the level of chicken never had such juicy chicken meat in the states!
The best hainanese chicken rice you can find in NYC, I'm shocked not more people know about it. A yummy taste of home!
One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. I had the mixed chicken rice. It was really good. It was a little under $20 but I think it’s worth it. Big portions and very filling. Everything was cooked perfectly. I’m definitely coming back that’s for sure. Highly recommend!
Located in a food court, Lou Yau Kee dishes out delicious and healthy food at an affordable price. The Food: The chick is the start and it is succulent and flavorful. The rice, yu choy, and cabbage soup were all great as well. The sauces were also fantastic, much better than some that I've had at other places. The Service: Efficient and friendly. They are student friendly and offer a nice discount a good deal for the students, especially for NYC. The Atmosphere: It's a food court, a bit hip but nothing over the top. I like that you can see the chicken in the window and you can watch them prepare it. The Atmosphere:
