The woman who took my order was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and kind. The shrimp tempura was crispier than normal, the avocado was fresh and the eel sauce was sweet. I received a generous amount of refreshing pieces of ginger too. The roll was super delightful. I'll be coming here again for that roll specifically.
Mediocre, bland. The young lady at the front was friendly enough. They prepared my take out order fast enough. However, she. I opened up the container de with the poke bowl, I found a jumbled mess, as if all,of the ingredients were thrown together. Aside from then poor presentation, I found the contents bland.
Two of us stopped here for lunch on the way to the Brooklyn Museum. It is an unassuming but cute place only steps from the museum entrance. It couldn't be more convenient. Prices were rather reasonable for New York, and the service was personable and accommodating. Appetizers were tasty. Soft shell crab and scallion pancake were crisp; the latter was a bit greasy but quite good nonetheless. The entrees included spring rolls, which were delicious, and fried rice, which had a somewhat odd texture but very juicy cubes of roast pork. The roast pork in my eggplant with garlic sauce and pork, however, was pretty dried out. The eggplant itself was very soft and silky, exactly as I like it. Green beans with shrimp was a great choice. I'd definitely recommend this place for a quick noontime bite.
Their food is always great and the staff is always so friendly and will meet you at your vehicle or the door way if you decide not to wait inside.
Haven't gone back since the first time I went pre-Covid. My experience last time was phenomenal though. Good food and warm interior vibes. Will need to visit again soon!
