Fort Defiance - Broad Channel

Went for brunch, and ordered: ‘eggs in purgatory’ (two eggs poached in tomato sauce with toast), and ‘chicken fried steak’ (with white gravy, biscuits, and two fried eggs). I would say the food was just okay. Fort Defiance’s cocktails are more of the draw. I would return for drinks (especially inside their charming bar), and perhaps skip on their food.

Came for brunch h on a Saturday with a friend. Got the Irish coffee which apparently has somewhat of a reputation. It was very good. Also got the huevos rancheros which was yummy, and then a gin fizz! My favorite. Super nice staff and time.

UPDATE: We finally made it to Fort Defiance in their new location for brunch today and it was very good. I had the huevos rancheros which was excellent. I'm hoping they sell the pork chili that is in it on its own because it was delicious. BF had the American breakfast with a nice slab of potato roesti disguised as hash browns.
