WAITED 3 hours in the waitlist! When we were called we sat upstairs then within their coworkers they were iffy to give service to our group of 6. They took our food orders but didn’t even give us 3 orders. Sat down 30 mins waiting for food to come and nothing coming till we asked the server for our orders. He took the order again took 20 mins to give one dish then forget our pancakes. Chef told the server that pancake was never ordered how it will take another 15 mins. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here, if you’re from nyc trust me you have better places than this place. You will be wasting time waiting and not feel welcomed. The servers doesn’t care about you. At the end they were trying to give discounts when we wasted 2 hours just to get our orders right. Left with discouragements. Never in a million I would think a restaurant in nyc will be like this. Attached picture of food they gave us, while waiting for more and never end up receiving my orders. 1st receipt is with all my actual food that was ordered, 2nd receipt was when waited hours and didn’t get the order of mushroom with spinach and cheese, and fluffy pancakes.
Wow, this place was amazing!!! Dreaming about their soufflé pancakes and their truffle fries!! Perfection!! Really yummy!
I do understand the hype this place has but I didn’t like the soufflé pancake itself , to my opinion they just taste like eggs and butter-more like an omelette than a regular pancake, yet with all the fruits and whipped cream it is good. The service was great!
Flipper's is pretty good overall I would say 3.5 overall. But I'd say it'd be for a treat and wouldn't necessarily go back often.I got the strawberry souffle pancake and it was good, not the best but very soft and jiggly and the strawberry cream tasted fresh. Only downside is I don't think it's worth the price, for 20$, you only get two pancakes. My friend loved his eggs Benedict. I only tried the fries to be honest and they were really good LOL, it helped me cut some of the sweetness from my pancakes. The truffle aoili was a really nice addition and went well with the eggs benny and the fries!
