Daddyo's Tavern - Broad Channel

This review is not about the food. I came across this establishment on GrubHub and decided to give it a try. Placed the order and had my husband go in to pick up our order. As he entered the establishment he said it was like everyone stopped with they were doing to stare at him. The woman that was working the bar gave no kind of greeting except yelled DoorDash from across the room. Is that how every patron of your establishment is welcomed? We will never give money to this establishment again. Next time maybe a hello would be pleasant instead of assuming a melanated person walking into your establishment must be a worker and not a patron. now I will speak about the food. Inedible. Had the stuffed veggie pizza. No sauce hardly any cheese and tons of bread. After one bite we threw it in the trash. Shameful

I bought 2 large pizzas and both were and 1 pepperoni per slice . Who will deliver burnt pizzas to its customers at least have some decency and respect for your customers. I’m paying for my food and I’m not asking you for free food. Hope this review will get your attention to never do that again.

The reason for the 1 star isn’t the food, service or atmosphere. The service is a 5, always. The 1 star is due to the fact that the owner(s) and accountant, now social media manager, wrongly accused a loyal employee of unfounded claims and fired her. This employee, who was appointed the general manager because of her hard work, might I add, has gone above and beyond for Daddyo’s and it’s patrons. She created a more inclusive environment and didn’t put up with racist/sexist/homophobic folks that unfortunately ran rampant here previously. I will no longer spend a dime of my money here. The owners should be ashamed of themselves, especially since the real reason they fired her is unlawful. They’ve deleted and blocked regulars from posting on their Facebook page because we know the truth.

I use to drive over an hour to come hang out here for karaoke w/ the awesome Bartender Amber. She made the whole vibe atmosphere worth the long-a drive!But after finding out WHY she was let go, I can no longer support this establishment. Shame on you guys! And there's plenty more that will follow Suite.Any establishment that would treat their loyal, hard working pregnant employee like they did Amber, doesn't deserve to have a soul walk through their doors....

The owners just fired an incredible bartender due to pregnancy. Sad to lose out on a spot I used to enjoy visiting, but I can't support this awful behavior on the part of the owners.
