The Trooper - Bristol, City of

We ordered in the short term and had luck that the trooper could take care of us. the grinding times arrived immediately and simply needed a renewed heating in the microwave. eating was really very good and was a generous part. I had bark that was plentiful, tasty and tasty. my daughter had truthahn, which was just as beautiful. my wife had a vegetarian option she said was as nice as she had somewhere. a big thumb to the trooper.

Booked a table for a Sunday Carvery with family. We all enjoyed the food, was plentiful with a good choice of veg. Only thing we didn't like was the table we were allocated as very small.

Went for sunday carvery and the beef was so tender it melted in my mouth. The roast potatoes were crispy and the veg was cooked to perfection Lots of people were also coming in for takeaway. One of the best sunday lunches in Bristol I...have had in a long time

An excellent well kept well ran public house. Everyone is made to feel very welcome at the beginning young and old alike.... The food is homecooked and very good. They do Takeaways and deliver on a Sunday... It’s nice to have both sport and food...in the same pub.

Popped in with a friend today for lunch. Although I now live close to this pub, I had never tried it! I was with a friend who had recommended. The lovely Emma at the bar served us with drinks. Apparently, Emma does a lot of...the cooking herself, and also Lynn the landlady also contributes. Emma has a lovely friendly personality, and this goes a long way in making people feel welcome. Emma then served us the meat from the carvery. I had delicious turkey and a slice of beef. I am a very keen cook myself, both types of meats were excellent quality.We then helped ourselves to great vegetables, including Savoy cabbage and yummy homemade gravy. For pud I had a very large portion of rhubarb crumble and custard, lots of rhubarb and the meal generally was fantastic at a very reasonable price. I travel a lot and eat out regularly. Shall certainly recommend to all. I also met Lyn, the landlady, a very friendly lady, and we chatted about the pub.
