New Moon Cafe Tapas Bar&restaurant

After our meal last night, I hopped on here to see if some not so understanding patrons had already voiced their options (sadly I was right). Last night was difficult for the New Moon team, they were short staffed, ran out of cutlery, ran out of glasses and it seems they had an altogether nightmare of a night! 4 tables got up and left (some rather rudely) as the waitress came out to make the announcement. As someone who has worked in hospitality for many years, it was heartbreaking to see! So I wanted to make sure that their efforts (in an already difficult time for hospitality) are well appreciated. The first indoor Saturday night service after a 4 month lockdown was always bound to be tough and the lack of understanding from some of the other guests was disappointing but sadly, not surprising. Well, we had a lovely night!! Amazing food! Great service! Friendly staff even when under pressure and we had a wonderful evening! It was just so nice to be able to eat inside again! Remember, we’ve all been through the ringer this year and we’ve just got to be kind to each other TIP YOUR SERVERS!

Fantastic dishes, nice atmosphere. Sat outside as was in a large group. We were well attended. Food came at different times which meant the meat eaters did have to wait a little longer. Didn't bother me as I'm vegetarian!

Came across New MoOn Tapas this past Saturday evening and asked if my partner and I could get seated for some early evening wine/snacks because we had some time to kill before going to a rugby match at Ashton Gate later that night (didn’t have a booking and we were just in Bristol for the day). We were seated right away in the downstairs area which was super funky and vibey. Cool ambiance with good music, delicious food, plus the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. Highly recommend New MoOn to anyone local or in town for a lovely experience and some very yummy food. Pictured are the scallops which were a personal fave. Also loved the soap collection in the bathroom, what a fun quirk!

My wife and I were in Bristol over the weekend for my daughters wedding and we just wanted a quiet night on Friday. It is evident that the staff really want their customers to enjoy the evening. The atmosphere is very relaxed and I really cannot fault the food or the service. The grilled octopus in particular was absolutely delicious. We live up in Yorkshire, but we do have two kids that have settled in Bristol. We will definitely be back next time we visit

Yummy! This restaurant offers delicious options from tapas and a special fusion menu. The seafood tapas are incredibly fresh. We ordered scallops, octopus, calamari, aubergine roll, lamb, and special pig roasts, all of which were amazing! Some dishes were served with a tangy sauce that I loved. The staff is very polite and helpful. I also saw a puppy outside, which added to the nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!
