Where to start! Everything about this place is specialLocation, garden, cocktails, food, staff, view, and atmosphere were all excellent.

Truly a gem and probably the best food I've had in BristolAttentive staff, fresh food, gorgeous surroundingsI could sit in this place all day.

Really a special place, in a fantastic location It has an amazing garden where they grow the vegetables they use for cooking.

The environment is beautiful with views of the mendips. a magnificent walk through the walled garden to the restaurant gives a preview of some of the ingredients for the meal. in style, the restaurant is simple, but comfortable and the staff are charming, friendly...and unobtrusively efficient. we had the Pescatarian menu. each of the courses was special on its own way and uses local ingredients to offer different flavors, rugged and textures. at our visit this beetroot, sea buckthorn, jerusal world artichokes, wild garlic, buttermilk etc. each plate was beautifully presented and it is content well explained by the waiting staff. it may be on the expensive side, but it is worth a special occasion.

After I received a gift voucher in 2020 at a height of 50 pfund for the restaurant, I was very sad to hear that the restaurant had closed due to the effects of the pandemic. I was pleased, however, that the owners were determined to honour all the vouchers that were issued after the reopening of the...restaurant. Unfortunately, our new business model has not rewarded us from the wish because of the rigid, very expensive set evening and Sunday lunch menus. Moreover, despite numerous questions about their clients, there was no indication that they would be open for cheap coffee and cake or light lunches. So I contacted them directly to ask how I could use my goodwill. I am very pleased that they were very courteous and arranged for me to collect a small hampel so that I could benefit from my credit.
