Bulrush - Bristol

A culinary experience, that's for sure! Staff were brilliant, service was great. We were given complimentary drinks too when we arrived due to having a nightmare day and we weren't sure if we were going to make it so that was also lovely of them to do that. Went for the 9 course tasting menu, and a wine flight each. Would recommend the wine flight with the courses, some of the flavour combinations were just brilliant and the wine really helped bring the dishes together. I'd say don't go in expecting anything, as whatever you think you're going to get, it will be served in a way you're not expecting! The food was excellent, as were the wine pairings. The only minor blip, and it was minor, was the service. The waiter seemed inexperienced and appeared only to be able to recite what he had been told. E.g. 1 dish contained 2 types of seaweed and 1 diner asked what was the different flavour profiles of the seaweed. He didn't know and said he would find out, he didn't.
