We stumbled in the wheelhouse and we are so glad that we made it! more excellent coffee for beginners and great breakfast. our table had the waffles, the tropical bowls.
The wheelhouse is always busy at a weekend, so I take it the coffee must be good. I could have breakfast twice, but I'm not going back.
I couldn't resist trying the chocolate fondue waffles at Wheelhouse Coffee in Lawnton, as I am a waffle enthusiast. They were probably the best waffles I have ever had - crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, simply amazing! The fruit on the side was a nice addition. The chocolate was delicious, although a bit thick and could have benefited from being heated a bit more before serving. I absolutely adore the charming, rustic atmosphere of this restaurant. We decided to try the waffle with homemade cinnamon butter and fresh fruit, as well as the BLT and avocado smash. For drinks, we enjoyed the Weiss smoothie with mango, banana, and berry, as well as an iced caramel latte - all of which were delicious. The homemade carrot cake, warmed up and spiced to perfection, was a standout dessert. The service was friendly and efficient, with our food arriving promptly. The waffles topped with homemade cinnamon butter were a definite highlight, as was the avocado smash with dukkah. The BLT was tasty, and the ginger and date slice was a delightful treat. My only suggestion would be to add some Danish feta to the avocado smash.
