The evening finished with all guests receiving the left overs from the night in plastic containers. Magical evening
I love it. A restaurant that has food I like, all I can eat and I can be myself. A wonderful lady there takes your money as you go in. It's not a big place and it feels very homey. Unlike big posh restaurants they trick you well, appreciating that customers are actually people. The food is ..... well rush to the food trays and see for your self! I had the Honey Chicken, Noodles, Mongolian Lamb, Beef in Black bean sauce, Spring Rolls and then went back for Chinese Beef, Chicken and Vegetables, Crunchy Noodles and Sweet and Sour Pork. Ooooh so full now ...... but I couldn't go without my two serves of Icecream and Jelly. Did I like it? What do you think? That was my first visit. I have already been back again with my partner and will do it again and again and again. Been in Brisbane for 16 months and figure I have time to make up so I will be going back. Oh and by the way, the prices are great too.
I can't get enough of scrumpys. only recently discovered it but now I go there every week. it's not the greatest food in the world but for that price and all you can eat, it's the best value meal around. wide range of food: fried pork, honey chicken, Mongolian lamb, beef, fish, fried rice and the best ice cream anywhere. I love going there
My wife and I went here for lunch and were amazed at how awesome it was for such a great price. Only $11.95 each for lunch and we could eat as much as we wanted. The food was really good, especially the beef dish (so succulent and tender). The restaurant is small and very budget type, they could do with some music playing or something to make a nicer atmosphere, but it's clean and does the job. Would totally recommend for people who just want to go somewhere to eat lots for good value. Will be returning regularly.
Staff (one lady) was friendly and efficient. Gave us 2 plastic plates with a napkin each and took our money and that was that. We put our stuff at the table and went to the buffet. There was only one other family dining in. One other couple came and one lady came in for takeaway. The food was fresh and pretty good variety. About 20 food options. Fish, chicken, pork, lamb, beef, soup, noodles x 2, omelette, prawn chips. Then dessert bar icecream, crushed nuts, 100s and 1000s, red and green jelly and custard. $12 for all you can eat (Monday), it was pretty good.
