After moving the dishes down the table ourselves, it took over 20 minutes for someone to collect them. Our meals arrived promptly, but we had to wait for cutlery as the server forgot to bring it. We ended up having to fetch our own. My friend and I ordered pizzas, but knew immediately that we couldn't finish them all. When we asked if we could have the leftovers to take away, we were told it wasn't allowed due to health and safety reasons. We were disappointed to have paid $25 for only half a pizza and not be able to enjoy the rest later. It seems their policy supports food wastage, as we noticed diners before us leaving half their meals uneaten. Ultimately, we discreetly stashed the half pizzas in our purses. Needless to say, we won't be choosing Ryan's for future lunch dates.
This is a lovely bar and restaurant overlooking a park area. Go along for happy hour sparkling for $5 per glass during happy hour.
Great for an after work drink and the happy hour is good value. Good vibe from the after work crowd of mainly government types. Never enough staff on for the happy hour which results in a queue to be served. Give it a go.
Being within the Treasury Hotel we had hi expectations that Ryan's would delivery an allround good lunch experience for our family group of 15. Maybe it can be put down to the difficulty of running the venue under covid conditions, but the overall experience was more RSL than 5 star hotel. They were understaffed causing long delays at the bar also made worse by no table service...so all food and drink orders had to be made at the bar. The delays to receive drinks and food would be easily forgiven if the food lived up to expectations, unfortunately it did not....maybe a bad day in the kitchen? Our plan was to linger for a while but those plans changed based on the average service and food.
Situated within the Treasury Hotel, this restaurant is a great spot for a relaxing meal if you arrive early. It tends to get busy later on, which is not surprising given the well-priced drinks. The bartender was very friendly as well.
