**** customer service. Food is so so and overpriced. Will never go there again. I went there with my husband and my kids. After we settled and ready to order but it took ages to get someone to take orders. Finally we got a waiter to take orders. But he said to me,'how come I don't get the other waitress to take orders?' I was shocked. All the waitress were busy delivering foods and he was the only one that was free! And then I said to him all the other girls were busy delivering food to other tables. Then he finally took our orders with an unwilling face. When we ordered Nasi Lemek. He just said NO Nasi Lemek. No apologies or no explanation AT ALL why a dish on the menu couldn't be ordered. The taste of the food is so so. Food overpriced compare to the other Chinese restaurants in the same Square. Will never go there again.
I took my family here because I was craving Pecking duck and they have a great deal. Pecking duck + a crispy noodle with duck/ duck congee for $38. We ordered 2 pecking duck sets and it was very good. However, everything went downhill after the ducks. I found a hair at the bottom of the congee after scooping bowls for my family. The manager came back with it and said that no chefs had long hair and offered another bowl of congee but we were turned off and just didn't eat it. He avoided us for the rest of the night. It was a busy Sunday night and they only had a few staff in the front. We had to ask for soy sauce and chilli 3 times before receiving it. They forgot our fried rice so the main dishes were cold by the time the rice came out. The food was salty and oily. Only decent mains were deep fried tofu and stirfried beans with mince meat.
Since I discovered Mapo Korean BBQ nine months ago I have not been back to Little Lamb at Runcorn Plaza. So with my girlfriend in tow we arrive at the reception table and was asked to wait 25 minutes for a table. Big sigh! I never wait for a table, so we drove across the road to Warrigal Square and walked into Little Nyonya. A smiling waitress met us at the door and took us to a cosy table away from crowd. I ordered a pot of Iron Goddess tea and within minutes the waitress was back with the menus and our pot of hot tea. Sipping the hot fragrant tea I admired the Oriental decor and Nyonya style tables. It's been 2 years since my last meal here and the menus have changed. Browsing the menu I note most of the dishes were HK Cantonese or Malaysian. Both of us decide on HK BBQ meats. I order roast duck/roast pork with rice and my girlfriend orders the roast duck with dried egg noodles. The restaurant is almost full with diners and I see most of them are already eating. Great, we shouldn't have to wait too long for our meals. Twenty minutes later, having downed half a pot of tea, our meals arrive. I am pleasantly surprised by the food presentation which is superior to Vietnam Corner, Lok Fook, Cafe Mi or Little Hong Kong. The serve of BBQ meats was smallish but fresh and tasty. My serve of rice was generous and my girlfriend's egg noodles were perfect, soft and chewy. Overall, the food presentation and quality was very good. I will try their Peking Duck which is a $35 special on my next visit. The waitresses were friendly, attentive and speak English well. All requests were attended to quickly and it left a good impression, improving the overall score to 4.5/5.0.
