Firstly l have to say never judge a book by its cover. I really did judge this place. My first instinct were run down which it is. But once you walk in you, you are greeted by lovely staff. They were very humble especially with our girls. They have an amazing menu and the ambience is very family friendly and you can see this all around the bistro. The manager who is very visible serving and taking orders is doing an amazing job bringing this place up to standard. Yes it is dated but it's a local gem. If only we all supported our local businesses more. We really enjoyed their food. Amazing kids meals and they nailed the medium rare steak for our daughter. We also ordered their steak and lamb lamb cutlets but their ribs were the hero of the night. Amazing value for money. We are Definately spreading the word and coming back with our families.

Reading past reviews I believe the Mount Gravatt Hotel has come a long way in regards to food quality and service. Great family pub, Great prices and a huge selection of food for all different requirements!

Mmm G Hotel. For a fun, typical pub meal consider the MG Hotel! As it's our local drinking hole, myself and many of my close university-attending friends/housemates have been happy with the offered menu and fun atmosphere. Some menu items can be relatively pricey, though.

Decent pub food. We come here every couple of weeks for a nice pub meal and it hasn't disappointed so far. Have a good range to try something new or if you just want a nice hunk of steak it delivers at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is nice as the dining area is large and you can usually find a nice quiet spot to yourself.

Lovely place for an evening with friends or family. Food was decent, excellent service and polite staff. We ordered chicken parmigiana, veg supreme pizza and a 3rd item can’t remember the name(mushroom balls or something). Pizza was very tasty. Chicken was a bit dry and the sauce with mushroom balls was too sour. The lime lemon bitters drink was the best of all. We had a better overall experience at the club Southside in upper mount gravatt but this one’s worth a visit too.
