Asana by Pete Evans - BRISBANE CITY

This place is my jam! I love Pete Evans and his recipes and menu. Will certainly be back and will be spreading he word of this place!

Buffet breakfast was included with my stay at Capri. I will never eat at Asana again. Omelettes were overcooked. Not a great range of food. Croissants tasted like rolled up cardboard. Not a good experience at all. I expected so much more but was left so disappointed.

I was thrilled to eat at this restaurant, because I knew I could eat everything on the menu. However, I was expecting small serves due to the high quality ingredients. We chose the 2 course plus a drink for $29 and we were amazed at the value for money. My husband had the salumi plate for entree and it was HUGE! I had the zucchini noodles with pesto and prawns. For mains, I had the fish curry (more like quenelles with coconut cream curry) with papaya salad. It was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten - just the right about of spice and deliciously rich. Hubby had the chicken schnitzel with slaw which he really enjoyed. The house white and Stone and Wood beer really hit the spot. Nice atmosphere, but due to the hard surfaces it was a little noisy. Wait staff were friendly and professional. Can't wait for our next visit to Brisbane so we can eat at Asana again!

On a visit to Brisbane, my friend chose Asana as her pick of restaurant as she prefers paleo food. I don't have any dietary requirements so i wasn't that excited about going as i thought i would find the menu a little restrictive. More than happy to say that the restaurant was fab - a good menu with choices for everyone. I had the pepperoni pizza which i think was about $23 and absolutely delicious. A good wine menu and also a very tempting dessert menu. A lovely experience

Came to try for the first time loving our paleo food and love following Pete Evans.Great to see the menu was pretty much all gluten free!! Woohoo!!And dishes were quite healthy too.The food was tasty although the temperature of most of our dishes was lower than expected. And it didn't seem like a crazy busy night.We also waited for what seemed like a while, maybe 35-40 minutes for our starters to arrive.The waitresses weren't really attentive either, could have sold us more wine and kept an eye on our water.A little different to our expectations - we would come back but wouldn't rave about it.
