I paid £20 for fish and chips and it was terrible. The chips were served in a small cup with the scraps at the bottom, and the fish was mostly batter with very little actual fish inside. Additionally, the coffee I ordered was consistently cold. I ended up getting a refund and leaving the restaurant.
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. The place was dingy and dirty. The table was sticky. We both ordered fish and chips, and it was disgusting. The fish was inedible mushy on the top and slimy on the bottom. The tartare sauce came in a paper cup the size of a thimble. The only thing edible was the chips. However, we sent the whole terrible mess back to the kitchen. The very young staff were polite and tried their best, but the place as a whole was appalling. If this is their best after a renovation, it's pretty sad. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
First time I had ever had mussels and they were delicious. More than I could actually eat, in a big casserole type container. Chips too. Excellent service, beautiful venue, really good value. I will go back.
Had a amazing cocktails made by Marnie she definitely went above and beyond would fully recommend as better than some “cocktail bars” we went to
