Caffe Italiano - Brighton and Hove

The place a very nice Just the girls are very rude and not smiling to the guests! The food are amazing Just the staff are rude !

Probably the worst scrambled eggs that I’ve ever, and I mean ever, had. In fact to call them, scrambled, eggs is probably a breach of the Trade Descriptions Act Clearly made with powdered egg, which I naïvely thought, had gone out with the end of rationing, and prepared with vegetable oil, they were nothing more than a miserable, thick, pancake, tasteless, apart from a depressing hint of oil. If you want, decent, scrambled, eggs, creamy, silky and buttery, as they should be, go to Rust or Marmalade in Kemp Town. Just don’t order them here. Oh and the service. I forgot because I suspect the waitress forgot about us. When she did finally serve us, she grimly handed over the offending article with a blank, thousand yard stare. Perhaps she knew what we were in for….

We were charged for coffe and flapjack a total of £13.00 this came as two items on bank statement. One for £10.00 and a second for £3.00 which seemed ODD! To spend a total of £13.00 on coffe and snack seems excessive and it was not worth it. We spent a week in Brighton and this was by far worst coffee and the most expensive we had. Our ages are 88 and 84 and this did not add any pleasure to our stay!!

Had lunch here whilst staying in Brighton I chose the pasta Bolognese. It was freezing cold, I had to take it back inside where it was put back into the microwave. The staff are the unfriendliest people in Brighton One of them (owner I presume) came out and shouted at someone over the top of us. Accusing them of sitting on their flowers, they weren’t they were just leaning up the wall. There are plenty of better places to eat and get coffee in Brighton. I would advise somewhere that serves hot food or offers service with a smile

Popped in for coffee finished up with coffee and cakes before going to the circus round the corner. Similar feel to a place we went to in Verona, many years ago. A great spot to sit and watch life go by in a busy streetscape.
