Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe had reservations but were met at our table with a waitress at the table telling us it didn't matter if we ordered right now we would be probably going to be waiting on our food for an hour, we decided to stay because we had a big table and we would have a hard time finding another place to accommodate our number that short notice, we waited forever to get our drinks and couldn't seem to get refills, meanwhile flies were everywhere landing on us and our table, we should have left, food took way over an hour and was not good and a couple people were left with wrong food or no food for even longer, not good and very unprofessional to let us reserve for our group as clearly they couldn't handle it.... restaurant was not full? Overpriced mess, felt like a barn with the amount of flies, just gross, won't be back
New management - a whole new restaurant!! WOW! This place has a completely new appearance, menu, atmosphere and 'personality'. Very modern, bright and clean these days. Waitresses are cheerful! Food is well presented AND tasty.
We go to Brighton a few times a year and always stopped at Dougalls, now called The Whistling Duck, today was no different. We started our road trip about noon thinking we'll stop at the restaurant about 2/3 o'clock. As we walked up to the familiar spot, things seemed a little different. Awwww new chairs, oh look some new umbrellas, wow I love the colour of the new shirts everyone is wearing!Then the menu shows up with a friendly smile behind it! One of the waitress we know! The menu has changed for the better!! Love it!!Our order was perfect! Hats off to them chefs/cooks!! Service brilliant! Food unbelievably GREAT! Atmosphere very nice, well done on the up grades keep going! Happy to see a local has taken over and very pleased to learn how the new name came about!! can't wait to go back! We made a reservation for eight people, Sat 15 July at 7p.m. We arrived on time and the restaurant was very busy and very loud. Our server was a pleasant young lady however it was obvious that she was not experienced nor did she have good knowledge of the menu. We ordered our drinks and food, the drinks came in a timely manner however, we did not get our food until 8:30 pm. We were not informed that there was such a backlog in the kitchen nor were we offered anything to tide us over during the wait. When the food arrived it was very sub-standard. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Service was terrible - not the wait staff but the kitchen. We were seated with a warning that the kitchen was over an hour behind. Felt bad for the wait staff. The location is wonderful, but doomed to failure if they can't get their kitchen together. Not sure if they found themselves short staffed or a symptom of poor management. Good thing we were not in a rush. Food was mediocre.
