Amazing shop for young and old, will fill you with nostalgia. Great range of candy, chocolate, soft drink and also coffee/hot drinks menu. Both inside and outside seating is avaliable.My experience was an awkward one. We entered initially for hot chocolates as we were told that they were the best in town (they were). As i bagan to order my children discovered all the yummy treats which lead to my wife having to chase them around the shop (kids in a candy store, This seemed to agitate the servers. For a place that looks like a unicorns den the service felt very cold and not warming at all. I highly recommend this place for familys just keep your children close as they will most likely loose their minds.

We needed a coffee & cake fix and The Sweet retreat was a great choice. It is only a small shop but these people fit so much in. Cake choice is exceptionally good, good portion sizes and great quality. The coffee was outstanding done by somebody who has a passion as a barista. We had to wait to get a seat on a very busy day in Bright, it was well worth the wait. Also, congratulations to the staff for their very courteous service and the above average presentation and cleanliness of the shop; well done!

We only bought lollies here although the coffee looked and smelt good. Friendly service by owners. Stacks of interesting lollies and novelties which kept us entertained for over half an hour.

And sweets and ice creams anytime in between the Sweet Retreat is a must visit if you are travelling through the high country
